Riggs Distler’s Substation Group was contracted by PECO to perform the above grade electrical scope for the new Greenfield Upland Substation in West Philadelphia.  The Upland project started in early 2020 and is currently 80% complete. Energization is planned for March 2021. 

The scope consisted of the substation yard work; including installation of (6) 230kV Breakers, (12) 230kV Switches, Bus, Jumpers, and all associated yard equipment. 

In addition, RDC installed new 13kV Switchgear, Relay Panels, Lighting, SCADA, Power and Control cable and all associated grounding.
